The hotel is a former old church manse and is quaint and feels nice to be in. Our room had large bay window with lovely views and was comfortable. It is in a lovely secuded and peaceful setting. Breakfast was very good. The proprietors were mostly helpful.
No hot water in sink. The lovely conservatory restaurant was set out but not open and we were served dinner on the first night in the bar. My wife and another lady returned their meals. The proprietor came running in, a bit like Fawlty Towers, and gave my wife a stern lecture on prime Scottish beef and how medium rare steak is cooked in that area. No matter what the quality, the steak was tough. My starter was not good but I did not complain. Needless to say neither us or the other couple ate there again other than breakfast. Not a professional way to handle things to try to humilaite your guest and especially on the first night. For that reeason only we would not return.Would not recommend the food in restaurant.

We had a very pleasant room with good facilities and pleasant view over countryside towards the sea. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast! Evening meals are 'pub grub' style rather than haute cuisine, but were good value and substantial. Nice quiet country location for touring the area, but also only 10 mins from Stranraer ferryport for anyone travelling to/from Ireland.

We had an exceptional stay at this cozy country house bed & breakfast. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with clean and comfy beds. The bar and breakfast rooms were inviting, and the staff were lovely, accommodating our breakfast preferences. We enjoyed the large, fully fenced park adjacent to the hotel, perfect for our dogs and grandkids. The kids' menu had a great selection, and they loved the cheesy macaroni. The breakfast was delicious, made with quality ingredients. The room had a nice view of the fields.
The entrance had a slight smell from old furniture.

We got great value for our money with a spacious room, beautiful garden views, and a modern bathroom with a fantastic shower. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The breakfast offerings could be improved by adding more variety to the menu.

we very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were great. The hotel was close to alot of things to do and see.
The meal we had on the first night was excellent, but on the last night it was a different chef, and not good, best to check before eating there.

We had a quick overnight stay before catching the ferry the next morning. The room was grand and had all we needed for a comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast in the bright room was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the lovely well-kept grounds surrounding the property.
That the hotel is located at the edge of a housing estate, which felt a bit less grand than we had expected. It was also quite remote, and we had to travel into nearby towns for our evening meals.

Very convenient for the Belfast ferry, quiet location. Good breakfast and adequate evening meal choice.
